Long time no see

It has been some time since my last update. I just came back from a 10 day long Taiwan trip on 20th, and I will be leaving for Japan this Wednesday for 11 days. Gotta make the most out of the last summer holidays you see.

Friends, sorry I did not contact you all and could not attend any gatherings during these 8 days, as I had a lot of official matters to deal with (mainly editing) before I am leaving again.

Taiwan was great! I am too lazy to recount every pieces of memories of the trip, here are a few of them:
1) I was upgraded to business class when I flew to Taiwan, but not when I came back to Hong Kong.
2) The bus ride from the airport to Taichung City was longer than the flight from Hong Kong to Taiwan.
3) When I told the locals that I am from Hong Kong, they often returned a look of misbelief. "You are from Hong Kong? How come you don't speak with the Hong Kong accent?" Well of course for certain words, I am still stuck with the accent.
4) First time to try out 民宿. I found it better than staying at hotels! (BTW, what's 民宿 in English? B&B? Homestay?)
5) After spending 6 days in Taichung, I am still unfamiliar with the city. My friend has been taking me to places in Taichung County rather than the city itself. It was fun all the same.
6) Went to 野柳 (a geological park famous for rocks) alone. I was so stupid to wear my new pair of Birkenstock and my feet hurt like hell after all the walking. But I am glad that I went there.
